Tired of riding on the back, ready to ride my own. Unfortunately in grad school and can't afford much.

2001 Buell Blast: starts, runs and drives fine BUT the engine makes a clicking noise. Like a click, click, click that speeds up with the revs on cycle. Anyone know what it could be, as in an easy fix, or am I going to have to put money into this one?

Thanks!

Welcome Tonik,
That sound would be your primary chain. It will sound like that as normal. It is telling you that it is loose. But fret not as looser is better that tighter. If it were to tight it would wear out the guide shoe that it rides on. How many miles are on the bike? and is the factory spacer still between the lock nut and the adjustment bolt for the primary chain? If it is, it should have been taken off at the first 1000 mile check when new. I won't overload you with info just yet as I don't know your background knowledge of bikes or mechanics. I would take this and any other questions you have to the Thumper forum. EZ, Eric and crew are the ones who know this bike inside and out.
