I have an 09 1125R. I am looking for an aftermarket charging system or a fix for the OEM. All the threads I find are 2009 or older. One thread says the stator is the problem. Another says it is the regulator. Maybe the wiring. Has anybody found a tried and true fix for this. This just happened. I have not done any testing. I figure I will replace the entire system including wiring harness. If it will keep me from being stranded again.

Thanks

Retrofit a 2008 stator and rotor and remove the sub-harness that was fitted to "fix" the issue.

2009 Stators have a design defect whereby they overheat and break down.

There are LOTS of posts on this on the 112r forum...
