I have an 08 XB12r: I bent the left tube on the fork and its leaking when I put weight on it... Its a decent bend...Is it repairable, or do I need a entire new fork...If I need a new fork do I have to go with the 08'43 mm Showa inverted forks or will others work?

I'm pretty sure that's not repairable. It will be nearly impossible to ensure that the fork leg is properly straight.

I can't say about parts compatibility with other bikes, pretty much any Buell 43mm inverted fork should work, just don't use the Uly(XB12X) or TT(XB12STT) forks unless you want to raise the front end.

Bent fork tubes are indeed repairable.

A machinist with big/heavy lathe,bottle jack and a DTI can straighten them,provided it isn't kinked.

Used to do them all the time when I worked in a job shop.

If Andrew has the wrench ability and the tube isn't tweaked too much then my answer would be yes.

If not then he should find another and swap it out.

Vee blocks and press will work also, just takes more time and not as handy as doing on a lathe.

If its repairable with a lathe/bottle jack then awesome, and its def not kinked, but how can I tell if the inside has been damaged or not?

Have a pic? Hard to say without seeing it.

By kinked I mean a sharp bend verses slight.

USD forks can be tougher to straighten than conventionals because less of the stanchion tube is exposed.

I will try to get a pic today. It is definately a very slight bend, maybe a few milimeters...I'm assuming I would need to take the entire fork apart before attempting to have it straightened?

Yep,you will need to disassemble,need to replace the seal and probably the guide bushing as it may be sprung.

Now I have another question... Would a fork off of an 05' XB12s fit my 08' XB12r??? Or would I need new triple trees also?
