I'm considering a Jardine aluminum can for my 2005 XB12, and I'm curious about the rivets tearing the aluminum.

Is this a large issue with these exhausts?

1. Re-Pack with Silent Sport Premium
(Get rid of the Fiberglass rubbish)
2. Seal it up and use Stainless Steel Rivets.

Mine was good for 15,000km, no repacking required, gives it a very deep sound.

You will need 2 bags of Silent Sport.
450 gram & a 300 gram.

1. Remove the chicken wire around jardine packing. leave the internal core.
2. layer silent sport, packing if down with a ruler, continue until you reach the end, pack it FIRM and leave about an inch movement at the end.

Seal it up..

STAINLESS STEEL RIVET..

and she's good to go.
