I want to say 116 last time I had the ECMSPY on it... I have a cam sensor and coil that should arrive within the next few days.

Well, I thought I had figured it out when I pulled the cps cover off and saw that the bedding compound was melted off of the sensor. I replaced with my new one and went for a test drive... No better than when I started...

I went riding for a while holding the throttle open enough to cause the misfire, "or whatever it is"... As I rode I would hold a laser thermometer on the pipes near the heads, hoping for a temp difference on one thus showing me that it was dropping a cylinder... But there was no difference, a equal drop in temp for the most part. This make me think that it is a loss of fire on both cylinders or a lack of timing chance.

I'm still at a loss thinking about pulling the fuel tank off to examine wiring...

I also replaced the coil with no change either....

Checking the wiring sounds like a good idea because the ECM has to switch the ignition signals to ground. So I would double check the ground wires from the frame connections to the ECM.

Did you check the new coil resistance? It has 3 leads, right?

Thank God, I think I just found what it was... Like 99.999% sure this is it but I ran out of time to fix it today. I am happy to say no one had thrown this one out there and I by luck found it...

So I'm looking around at the wiring and such.. Cleaning contacts and going for test rides, then I happen to notice that there is black deposits around the edge of my exhaust pipes tip. I had the light bulb click on and thought maybe my packing in the pipe had come apart clogging up flow. So I pull the pipe and the dang baffle has come loose and moved back, blocking the tip. You can see right where it has been rubbing.
