Bike ran out of gas, now it runs horrible. It will missfire and sound like cylinders are cutting in and out. I have a race ecu, power commander, force racing pipe, stock airbox. I put new plugs in and ran 3 tanks of gas with fuel injector cleaner in it and it's not getting better yet. Do i need to reset something? I can only get 100 miles out of a tank of gas also.

replace your fuel filter, a i once ran out of fuel in a 4runner i had, and it wouldnt start because the filter became clogs due to all the shit in the tank

Buell DDFI's don't like running out of fuel (esp tubers) Maybe try resetting the AFV. (Constant engine speed for 5 miles around 4k rpm???) You might search the board for more info.

ANother thing ... I've never heard of any positive experiences with the Power Commander--only complications. You might take that out of the equation as well. (At least for testing)

There might be some trash/water in the injectors and injector lines. I worked on a XB9 that was running poorly and the plugs looked like the engine was running rich. After draining the tank, I found a few thimbles full of water in the fuel. Fresh fuel and no more problems.

I've seen this before and there's more information somewhere... Run an F/I tuber out of fuel, and you're guaranteed problems. Good Luck...
