This is the 3rd time I've received this error code and the first time since my '08 XT has been out of warranty. Does anyone have a fix for this code, a way to clear it from the ECM? I tried spraying trusty wd-40 on the valve, checked to see if the cable was stuck, but nothing. Any low cost solutions would be helpful. I am aware that installing after market cans can solve this problem but I can't afford it at this time. Do the solutions that the after market people sell work on a stock bike? This is my daily driver so I hate to think about doing something that would take it fully out of commission.

Thanks in advance!

If you don't mind not having the exhaust valve feature, you can just disable the actuator with TunerPro and clear out the code. Bike will still run pretty much the same, just won't be able to open the valve for when you go WOT.
