I'm unlowering my SL and need to replace the stock original side stand.

I've read all the relevant factory bulletins and many Badweb posts and it's still unclear if the weak stands were common or limited to a few bikes. I want to make sure and install a new stand that won't break.

Based on the bulletins, PN 94129Y will work and those are easily id'd by the R stamp. But I may be buying used, and you know how that goes...

So my question is: Is there a way to be certain I don't get one of the weak stand legs?

How are the weak sidestands visually different from non-recalled ones? There's some photos in one of the bulletins that show visual difference, but the photos were unreadable.

Thanks for info that clears this up for me.
