my bike started idling low so I bumped up the idle adjust met screw a tad to see if this would help at all. It didn’t so I decided to do a tps reset with ecmspy. I have done this three time know and ever other time is has been fine. But after the tps reset the idle was crazy it went from 1500 rpm to as low at 500 and would go back and forth and back and forth then die. Anyone ever had this happen?

Need to check for intake leaks.

I have tried spraying carburetor cleaner around the intake to see is it would kill it but nothing. I have heard that the breather mod helps mellow out the idle is this the case?

The breather mod is a good mod but benefits are negligible. It could be a bad reset, try resetting it again. Also you might want to crank the idle up to about 2k(if you can) to do the intake test.

So the bike consistently runs for a short period then dies?

The first time I did it was a warm tps rest and that’s when it was crazy, then let it set over night and tried again cold and it was better but still not very good. Should it be in open loop when its cold? Because when it hits closed loop its runs good but the idle jumps 200-300 rmp. Ill check the intake again at 2k later today

It should idle in the green closed loop square. If the TPS is set to high it will be in open loop.

When doing the TPS reset visually check to make sure the throttle plate is fully closed. What is your TP reading for a steady idle?
