Hi everyone,
My friends GF let us buy him a 2002 Buell Blast for his birthday, it is tomorrow.
It had an issue of dieing after it warmed up. We brought it home and did the following
- changed oil
- filter
- plug
- intake boot
- flushed tank and cleaned filter
- rebuilt carb
- Cleaned all electrical connections

The problem is still there. We have put in alot of hours to find that it has no spark once it dies. We followed the problem to the crank position sensor.
The sensor LED light does not come on when the bike decides to not start.
we pulled out the sensor and after a while the LED light came on. We then put it back in and it started !!!
My question is...... before we go and start spending money on replacing the sensor should we start somewhere else?

Just a hunch ...... the sensor fails when it gets warm.

PLEASE HELP

thanks
Steve
