Some psycho painted my new-to-me '05 XB 7 or 8 times in it's short life, I have spent the last two months removing paint!

I'm looking for recommendations for both silver engine paint and also paint for the frame and wheels(color to be determined), anyone have any experience as to what holds up best on either one??

Have you considered powder coating?

Yeah, I've thought about powdercoat, might be a little to pricey of an option for me right now though...

I think that powder coating is worth the extra money. Think of how much of a PITA it is to strip everything down to paint it. Then think about how pissed you'll be when you scratch through that nice 'paint' working on your bike, or spill gas or oil on it. The powder coating will be much more durable and will last longer. i think that they come powder coated stock (correct me if I'm wrong).
