The light that illuminates the speedo on my 99 lightning doesn't work. I can't really tell how to get inside the speedo itself. Also the right turn signal arrow on instrument panel works when it wants to. Any ideas?

Replace bulb or clean contacts or clean connector or use VOM to see if bulb is even good and if your getting voltage to the contacts. Same with speedo light as turn bulb. Good luck and let us know.

In an X1 you can access the back of the speedometer housing by removing the two screws in the back. Once you separate the black housing you will see the bulb. As for the flasher bulb, you may need to remove the headlight to assess the harness where all the bulbs reside. It looks like a strip and all the bulbs can be assessed from the back. You may need to use long nose pliers to pull the bulb out with some persuasion. Check for tightness before you remove. It may just be loose.

The light is fixed, I didn't even notice where the bulb was the first time I took it apart hah, thanks for the help!
