Yes, I am having the same problem. Low fuel light doesn't come on. I checked the bulb and it works fine. Could it be the sensor itself? Can you get a sensor without having to buy a whole new fuel pump? Anyone else have this problem? Thanks

Hi, Yes you can buy the sensor at a Harley dealer it cost $14.00. I also replaced the bulb. pick up a pair for $4.00 at a auto store. GE standard 12v #37/BP2. Its works off pressure so it takes a moment to come on.

It doesn't work off of pressure.
It's a thermal thing.
There is a little filament in there next to a thermistor. if the fuel isn't there, it changes value.

The circuit is touchy and requires that the correct bulb is installed for it to work.

My 2000 X1 stopped working at around 5000 miles and I lost patience with the dealerships' inability to fix it under warranty.
