07xb12 is what i got and i guess i left the tranny vent line in contact with the rear pipe when installing the Drummer. it melted clear thru. with out it how much oil will come out of there? do the race bikes keep the stock routing to up under the seat? i see all kinds of custom bikes with buell motors and no line at all. any info would be great.

I just found this on my 09 too. It needs to be replaced, or water can run down into your transmission and make bad things happen. you can't just cap it off, because the air that is trapped in the transmission will expand as it heats up, and if it doesn't have anywhere to go, can cause gasket failures.

what is the correct routing for that hose, and more importantly, the easiest way to get at it?
