Getting ready to replace the seals and wipers on my 2001 X1 inverted Showa forks. The service manual says to use "Type E oil only". My local shop didn't have or know what type E oil is. What do yous guys use for the fork oil? Any help is appreciated!

Go to one of the Sponsors from here. The Harley dealers have it. I use it in my 2000 and 2001 M2 front forks.

Found this on the Web.
Q. What Bel-Ray fork oil weights cross over to match Harley-Davidson fork oils?

Sir Tech -
Thanks for writing in. Harley-Davidson Type B is the equivalent viscosity to Bel-Ray High Performance Fork Oil 15W and the Harley-Davidson Type E is the equivalent to Bel-Ray High Performance Fork Oil 20W. Thanks for using Bel-Ray Performance Products.
