I'm making up my own battery and battery tender plugs from standard two prong 12V trailer plugs.

When I wire up the battery side of the plug which terminal should go to the exposed side of the two terminal plug, Positive or Negative? The plug has one terminal exposed and one terminal shielded with rubber.}
