All, I have an 09 XB12Ss, and would like to do as much of my own maintenance as possible. To that end, purchased the service manual and have been going through it as I approach my 1000 mile check. I realize that the schedule for 1000 miles doesn't call for checking Critical Fasteners, but wondering if someone has the list of fasteners that a Buell Tech would check during, say, a 10K mile check? I realize I can make up my own list but this is my first Buell and I'd rather learn from other people's mistakes on what vibrates loose, etc. as well as avoid any painful errors on reusing "one time" fasteners (not sure if there are any on these bikes) or other such nonsense. I can't imagine that there isn't a listing for the shop service schedule - otherwise the dealer would be at risk for a tech mission something. Anyone have any such list? Thanks in advance.

Check the front exhaust hanger bolt every time you put a tank of gas in. It is the one that locks the exhaust collector area to the bottom of the motor, you can *just* see the bolt through the chin fairing.
If you loose it, your first indication will be a broken exhaust stud. DAMHIK. :/
Battery terminals can always use a good remove, clean, retorque as well. That's another good periodic service item. Also look for chafing of the wire harness where it comes under the frame, and if you have the flyscreen off (on an S) look for the horn wire getting cut by the horn bracket. Not common problems anymore, but they have happened before...
