So, just looking for general brainstorming..

I hate the way the indicators look on the front of my bike (an 07 xb9r). I took them off a while back and haven't replaced them with anything. I just took a couple amber LED assemblies from radio shack to hold the front fairing on (which is still working great).

Now. what i want to do is take some universal flush mount turn signals and mount them onto/into the mirrors. It looks like most of them just use a mount like the stock indicators use; a threaded shaft and a nut, so all i'd have to do is drill a hole in the mirrors and then just use some black silicon to seal around the edge to give it a more finished look.

what i'm thinking of using is either CBR f4i or some of the triangular flush mount signals for a zx6r.

I just can't afford to drop $150 on a set of 1125r mirrors and from what i hear they're not very functional on a 'bolt.

Thoughts? advice? tips?

well.. No one wanted to offer any suggestions, so i just dove in head first and used flush mount turn signals for a 02-06 (ish?) Honda CBR. I mounted them into the mirrors and hid all the wires and hid them pretty well... If anyone wants pictures or a summary of how i did it just say..

BTW. total cost was about $20.
