Quick question:

Anyone know how can I get the stock light bulb connector through the rubber boot without have to cut a huge hole in the rubber boot?

Can I push the pins out of the connector somehow?

I am installing HIDs and would like a clean install like Puzzled had done with this tutorial, but I am stuck on how to preserve the rubber boot like he did.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have done over half a dozen HID installs on various vehicles, and have always just cut the boots. It isn't hard, and if you really screw up, they are cheap to replace. You might end up tearing the boot trying to squeeze the wires through.

I have another question:

I installed the HID and turned them on with the battery only. I did this three times to check that everything was connected OK.

On the third time and every time thereafter the bulbs flicker a little and maybe one or the other will go out completely. If both are on and I switch to High beams one will go out.

Is this a loose connection or perhaps a dying battery and this wouldn't happen if the bike was running?

I am using 35 watt H8 slim ballast HID

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Froggy that is what I suspected. It was frustrating at first and I said screw it, I am going to start it up to see if it was better while running.

Well the bike couldn't turn over and then I looked at the voltage in diag mode and the batter was reading 10v.

Thanks again.
