My husband Mike is having issues with his 06 XB12X ULY. Downshifting from 5th to 4th gear is very hard and getting worse. Dealer had apart, thinking it was worn shift drum, found no wear.Put back together and it was OK for 5000 miles now its back??? Bike now has 32000 miles on it. Anyone out there that can help. P.S he works as a tech at a Honda/KTM shop, but we love our Buells!!

The first and easiest thing to check is the primary chain adjustment. If its too loose or tight, it can cause shifting issues, but mainly in the low gears. I doubt thats the cause here, but it should be easy for him to check and adjust.
