Replaced the dying HD batt with a sealed Interstate and discovered that the new Interstate does not fit exactly as the HD.

This bit of info will be helpful on any replacement battery you consider unless you go back to HD.

If you choose to use the Interstate ($95 in Fla), know that the positive side terminal lug (both lugs for that matter) does not sit flush with the front of the battery.

The negative side still fits but the positive lead on the bike can't reach the terminal on the battery because of the recessed terminal.

If you have enough excess cable and route it cleanly across the top of the battery, you can make the connection into a top mount.

Check your seat to ensure the castings on the seat pan don't rub on the lead.
