Is this the 2003 XB9R in your profile? Have you done the upgrade to the 2004+ belt? (Requires new sprockets and belt guards)

25,000KM is the scheduled replacement interval on the 03 belt. Some cracking is normal, but keep an eye on it.

I just noticed a small crack and developing hole at 9500 miles on a '05 XB12s. I ordered a new belt, but am wondering if I can get some more miles on the current one. Is there a repair that can be done via compound?

I haven't heard of anything except to replace the belt.
Not sure if I should just upgrade to 04 setup
problem is I already bought an 03 belt

Just replaced my belt today at Great South HD in Newnan, Ga. Kept the old one and did notice some cracking on the inside of the belt opposite the outer cracks. I think it would have failed in the next 500 miles or so. If I can ever figure out how to make my photos smaller on this site I'll post some of the belt. Don't hold your breath!
