Once upon a time I had some decent ones, but that was a long time ago. If you really want to get down to the nuts and bolts level of how an EFI system works, start researching the MegaSquirt and MicroSquirt systems. These are "DIY" FI systems, so you can go right through all the math and get a working system. Then you'll need recommendations about tuning and engine mods from someone else since I can't think of anything right now. I will be checking back in on this thread to see what people suggest. | ||

Oh, I forgot dynos... The common ones these days are the Dynojet inertia types, but back in my day of reciprocating engine tuning, we used Schenck, Heenan Froude etc. A good book to look at for this kind of thing is Engine Testing in Theory and Practice http://www.amazon.com/Engine-Testing-Michael-James -Plint/dp/0768018501/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qi d=1266174758&sr=8-1 This is a newer edition than the one I have, so maybe it includes info on inertia type dynos... Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I had a similar question. However, Barker may already have more knowledge than I and wants to learn more on actual tuning... I'm looking for "Buell ECM 101". Basically, if there was an owner's manual for my ECM - that's what I'm looking for. I'm not sure some of this tuning info would help right now because I don't know my AFV from my ASS. I have an 09 XB12Ss. Thanks! | ||
