Does anyone have a scan of a 40 CV carb parts diagram and the relating parts description and number listing? I have a carb from a 2005 Sportster 1200, so I don't know if that makes a difference as to which diagram to use. It is going on my 1999 S3 shortly, but I want to get some gaskets and different jets for it, and wanted to just get the OEM stuff. Thanks in advance for your help.

They are all the same...
Wasn't the 2005 fuel injected or did that start in 06?

Here's a cutaway diagram of a Keihin CV40 carb and a list of jets and needles that may be useful.

On the right of those pages are several carb tuning and troubleshooting links that are useful too.

Got www.buell.com, go to owners, then register your bike with the VIN number and you get free access to the owners manual which contains that information

Bluzm2 - I believe it was in 2007, but I could be wrong, but definitely not 2005.

Sparky - I didn't realize nightrider.com had that information in it. I have used their information in the past to build a Twin Cam engine. Lots of great info on this site. Thanks for the tip.

Lovecars - Unfortunately my bike is a fuel injected bike, so registering my VIN will only gain me access to info on my bike. I have a factory service manual, as well as a parts manual for my bike, but of course they do not do me much service for the carb retrofit I am working on. Thank for your help though.

Thank you all for your help.

Does anyone have the parts diagram they can scan in for me of this carb? I just need it for a parts number listing for replacement parts. Specifically the accelerator pump rod boot (external part of carb), and other seals/gaskets to rebuild. Thanks.
