hey guys,

i have 2000 m2 i put on the gauge cluster from an x1 so i have two side by side gauges my speedo on the right and a spot for the tach on the left. i have the actual tach gauge but the wiring doesnt match up. i talked to buell and they make a conversion kit but its like $700 -$800 so screw that can anyone help me price out the pieces to do it myself and how to install a senor if need be?????????? any help would be great thanks guys!

sensor is 1 bolt (screw) affair on top of the tranny. easy to replace...i think the connector into the wiring harness is under the tank.

okay.....credit where credit is due. my parts guy at hd-b of bloomington indiana did not have the kit, but found one for you at hacienda harley 480-905-1903, in scottsdale. entire kit, #Z1042.L. please call them (whether you want it or not),and tell them who you are, as there is a 24 hour hold for you. if you don't want the kit, maybe they can help with only the parts you need

please post your decision, as there may be other options if this doesn't work for you

fasted- Thank you so much i am at work and i will call around 10 am EST to when they open, last night i put the gauge itself in but no wiring to it i will be posting pics in an hour or so of the plug(s) from my harness and the plug from the harness i took the tach off of.

i apologize for the double post i made a typo on the original.
