Ive got an older style Supertrapp stainless exhaust on my cyclone. I havent cleaned it in ages. Is there a sertain milage that this thing should be removed disambled (baffles out) and cleaned. Somone mensioned oven cleaner? Any suggestions? Thanks, Eric | ||

Bump. I've been wondering the same. And wondering how happy the screws will be to come out with all the exhaust crud on the back-side of them. | ||

I've got the old megaphone style SuperTrapp on my S1. Is that what you guys have? If so, the core can be removed by unscrewing the screw(s) that retain the core. Then after removing the fiberglass packing, you are left with the perforated core which can simply be wire brushed to remove any carbon/rust/debris. I wouldn't mess with any caustic chemicals if I can just clean it up with a wire brush wheel, but that's me. YMMV. | ||

When removing the screws for the first time on my Supertrapps I always coat them with anti-seize prior to re-installing. | ||

Use the copper colored anti sieze on stainless, not the silver stuff. |
