As an FYI. I have an 06 Uly and wanted the tighter turning radius of the newer bike. No one at the shop could confirm an upgrade, so I just did it. You can mount the triple clamp for an 08 to the 06 or 07 bike and get the tighter turning radius. You will get a slightly longer wheelbase, but it handles fine! If you want the original wheelbase, you will have to order the complete 08 forks as the inner tubes are larger, thus preventing the use of just the lower tubes. The only thing that does not work is the fork lock as it will be to short to reach the frame stop. I'm still working on that! Turn tighter!!

DO you have the [art numbers that you used for the swap? My dealership is about to rebuild the front end of my 06' due to a collision and I would like to have them do the upgrade!

I don't have them with me, but I can get them if you want. Or you can just have your dealer order the triple clamps for an 08 model. As I mentioned, you can do just that and have a tighter turning bike with a touch longer wheelbase. If you want the wheelbase to stay the same, you need to order the complete fork for the 08 as well. I LOVE the better turning radius!! I have both the triple clamps and forks (updated with the 07 springs) off my 06 if you are interested in them.

Hi
I have an 07 Uly and wish to upgrade the triple trees to XB12XT trees give me more steering lock.
So I presumed I needed
J0105.1AKCYT Triple clamp upper
J0106.1AKEZT Triple clamp lower
Y0724.3AK ign

My dealer's XB12XT parts book shows

J0106.1AKEYBD Triple clamp assy lower
J0106.3AKYBD Triple clamp assy lower

J0105.1AKCYBD Triple Clamp Upper
J0105.3AKYBD Triple Clamp Upper

So I am confused (so is the parts guy)
I wish to keep the same forks, just upgrade the trees.
Help please
Thanks

The XT does not have the the extended steering lock, only the X does.

Look in the XB12X book!
