Anybody know how to replace the CPS in a 2001 X1???. I removed the nose cone, and started to take the side off, untill oil came out, then stopped. I'm hoping there's a better way to do this.

If by "nose cone" you mean the gearcase cover, there's no need to remove it, and if you do so without first removing the pressure from the valve-train, you risk damaging the cam bushings.

Bottom line is that you really need a service manual.
