Does any body know if the ECM ('06 Uly) has a limp home mode?

That is, when a fault is detected in the engine management, that sets a DTC. And, turns the Check Engine Indicator on; does the ECM go into a default "safe" operating mode?

i think the check engine color on the dash has something to do with a limp home mode. I suspect the red light doesn't have ( the bike run as the bike run )on pre-2008 and on the 2008/2009 ( orange color ) can run with basic value on some default error codes
