I haven't had the bike for very long but when I first got it there was no oil leak. I put it down not too long ago and have since fixed her and started riding again. After the first long ride I noticed that there was a slow oil leak from the intake box, so I took the box off and tried to find the source... seems to me that the oil is leaking from the rubber tube next to the intake hole (obviously I don't have much mechanical knowledge, don't know names of parts). Anyway, the leak wasn't there before so I would like to figure it out, any ideas?

Also, I am having some issues with weird hiccups when I pin the throttle back. The bike will sometimes pause before kicking in, and then will sputter for a second before kicking in again. Any ideas on that would be appreciated as well. (Have power commander and racing ecm in case those might be a part of the problem).
Thanks

The oil leak is related to your breather tubes. It has been discussed adnauseam. Do a search for "catch cans".
The sputter could be related to the PW. Again, do a search and you will find that almost everybody will tell you to get rid off it.
Hope this helped.

Thanks for the advice. Feel foolish having to ask this but where is the search engine on this site? How do I search for catch cans without looking through every thread? And is PW abbreviation for Power Commander?

Have not been too familiar w/the search function on this site, but look for Search in the top line of the page.

As to the oil leak, lots of folks here have gone to the XB breather system and a catch can. Keeps crankcase vapors from pooling in the air intake, and splooging onto your right knee. Keeping the oil level in the tank about 1/2 way between the full and add marks seems to help. Be sure to check it when the oil is hot.

As to the Power Commander, virtually no one here has much good to say about them for Buells. You have the race ECM, which should be enough.
