can i burn a xb12 eeprom into a xb 9 ecm?

as long as the firm ware code is the same yes you can.

the only year they cross coded the chip inside the ecu was 2003 the cb050 and cb060 can cross burn.

the rest you only need to match the gb231 to a gb231, ib310 to ib310 and so on.

same goes for a 2008 up xb9 ecm as they read fine in ecmspy where the newer flashes in the xb12 doesnt and they have a different firmware code. the early xb12 08 ecm has the same firmware code as the xb9 ecm. so all you to to make your xb12 from 09 or late 08 readable is flash the early ecm eeprom data to the xb9 ecm. then tune from there.
