Can I remove just the engine or do I have to remove engine and swingarm assembly like the manual shows

I removed just the engine. Actually I just blocked up the engine removed the front end and the rear tire and tank, exhaust, shock of course. Then loosened all the mounting bolts unhooked the wiring harness etc. then we just lifted the frame off the engine. A few extra bodies really helped. Not a 5 minute job.
