I have a '05 Firebolt with 11,000 miles. About 3,000 miles ago I noticed that I would hear a clicking sound at the end of heavy breaking. My first step was to remove and clean the rotor. I installed all new hardware and springs. While the breaking improved, probably wishful thinking, I still heard the clicking. It sounds like 2 pieces of fiberglass rubbing. I have wiggled and pushed on everything up front. Any ideas?

Check and torque the steering head bearings. My bearings are good, but my rotor makes a click now and then.

I had exactly the same symptoms on my X1 and turned out be the steering head bearings worn

This may not be your problem but it’s an idea....that's what fixed mine.

Regards.

Floater springs behind the rotor. Check 'em.....

Solved my issue with neck bearings.
