I have recently acquired a 2004 blast . This is my second bike and finding neutral is a real problem Does anyone else have this issue |

Have heard that changing to a fully synthetic oil for the primary can help this. But no experience with this first-hand myself. |

No Blast experience, but in general, make sure the primary chain is adjusted correctly, then adjust the clutch release mechanism, then finally the clutch cable.

What you might try is to raise the idling speed with the throttle a few RPMs as you are trying to find neutral. In other words, give it a gentle rev. The theory here is that the increased engine vibrations help to jostle the gears and the gear selector enough to overcome whatever friction or stiction is preventing the mechanism from finding neutral easily. 9 times out of 10 it'll work. |
