Has anyone tried replacing their airbox cover with a newer vented one?

I have a 2005 XB12R and love the look of the vents on the newer airbox covers.

Another question to add to that...

Has anyone tried removing the powdercoat on their wheels?

Just curious as to how it looked and was hoping to maybe see some pics...

They are all interchangeable. I'm looking for a racing red solid color one for mine. The 2010 XB12XT has it.
