I own a 984. I have a Latus muffler. Great top end gains but lost alot down low. Started thinking...Are all aftermarket performance mufflers designed for 1200cc?

No, not all aftermarket mufflers are designed for the 12. While the Latus, Jardine, and D&D are designed for the XB12 or the XB9, Special Ops and Drummer offer different designs for the XB9 and XB12.

Please go to http://americansportbike.com/ and check out the XB Exhaust Shootout. This shootout may also help to explain why you are loosing your bottom end.
