I have had good success with jetting my Sportster in the past. However, I'm getting into a severe time crunch with my S2 and need to pose this question. After putting on Thunderstorm heads (shaved a bit) and X1 cams, it now pops a bit when the throttle is chopped and has a bit of a lean stutter at just-barely-open throttle. I think it has a 45 idle and a 205 main jet already. Would those engine mods require even bigger jets or should I be looking for an intake or exhaust gasket leak?

I'd check for leaks at both ends. Did you install new manifold and carb seals?

I'm having the same problem with lean popping when opening the throttle on my S1 again after replacing those seals last month. Spraying starter fluid at the seals causes the idle to jump too. I think the carb moved the manifold slightly when I went to tighten it in the mounting bracket though. Looks like I need to re-do it correctly this time.
