I'm new here and also new to a Buell. I've been following the Buell since the Rotax engine got involved. I have been accustom to the Rotax over the years in dirt bikes, sno-sleds and karts.

The 09 styling really caught my attention, where some were saying it was ugly, some even said they had to park theirs away from the group and hide it. I never heard anything more nuts in my life. The only reason I would park it away from the group is so they wont hear it running!,, I must say that there's nothing in it's sound thats appealing but I'm sure that later I can address that subject.

The powerband was a fairly large surprise for me, I would never have expected that this big twins powerband would so similar to my old friend, the 1999 Honda VFR.

On the road,, (yes I ride on the hwy, not a track, thank you) the Buell felt taut and capable of most nearly anything, and it is. I hit a small fir seed cone on the hwy in the 3rd gear powerband that resulted in a high speed wheelie that transitioned right into fourth,, I affectionately cursed,,

The thing laughs at mountain pass hwy corners,, its well beyond my pucker level and will eat corners with ease. It definetly will instill confidence flying into a corner that you think might be a little fast,, don't worry it, it'll stick.

Intown manuvering is a different story,, this bike is the most incredible stooge at slower speeds,,clunky, jerky, noisey, HOT!!
I will guarrantee you that you will do anything to stay out of downtown when you ride this thing.

Aside from that its not a bad deal for $12,000,, but just be aware that its mostly a Track/Sport sport bike before you buy. I would provide a picture 'cept that I haven't taken one yet,, and it looks just like all the other ad pics in "red".
