I have an '08 Uly. I enjoy long solo trips across country, formerly on a '98 S3T. Now I have a new '08 Uly and thinking about saving for a 6speed. Is it worth the money?? I do over 1000 miles a day when needed, so speed and mileage help.

Before you make any decisions, try this experiment. Do a reasonably long run, at your normal speed, but keep the bike in 4th gear instead of 5th. Check your gas mileage.

For some people it goes up, for some people it goes down. If yours goes up, you certainly don't want the bike geared any taller.
