Hi, Was having a problem and was hoping someone might be able to help me out. Here's the deal. While putting my Firebolt back together I found that one of the nipples on my oil cooler had been put back together cross threaded and left that way because it didn't leak. Well it won't go back together that way. I have been waiting for 2wk for word from dealer about new one and I'm gun shy of waiting for parts. I had to have a return oil line fabbed up at local auto parts store because I have been trying to get one from any dealer since last Sept. Buell list the part # as obsolete and I have not been able to get a cross-over part # that will get me a return oil hose. Any way back to oil cooler. Was wondering if any one know the size fitting I would need to replace the fitting on the old oil cooler. My plan is to drill out old fitting. Then drill and tap hole and replace fitting. Problem is that the fitting in oil cooler is a size between 6 & 8 JIC . I can't find a fitting to match so far. Any suggestions or does any one know what type and size of fitting do I need to replace stripped one. Would appreciate any help. 2 hr away from buttoning bike up and fire up. Been down since last Sept. Dudes I'm dyin here help!

Found the part I need to fix oil cooler. NAPA had it. Turns out it was a JIC fitting with a 37 degree shoulder as opposed to 45 degrees which is most readily available. Thanks
