The Useless lets me down - 22000 miles and the idle drops down a bit so I up the idle and continue on.
Later on in the day the throttle starts to feel a little uneven and then the throttle, she no turn.
WTF sez me so I take the throttle apart, cables are okay, take off the airbox and sho nuff, the butterfly shaft is flopped partially out. I go to take the butterfly out and one of the button heads that holds it onto the shaft is loose.
Not just loose but just screwed into nothing - the shaft has broken and gone who knows where. Nowhere good, that's for sure.
So, time to order new parts and then fish around with a magnet. I can't imagine the broken section just getting blown out the exhaust but I didn't hear any weird banging noises.
Might be dropping the motor, dag nab it.
So much for this problem being confined to the X1...
