Anybody have the optional 1125CR handle bar kit installed at a Buell dealer and / or know what the dealer charges to install them ? Got a quote of about $610.00 for the kit and labor. Seems a bit high so I just wanted to confirm with others.

Thanks...Chris

This post has a link to buell.com which is the CR high bar kit. And if you're interested in putting that kit on an"R" there's info for that with prices too.

I'm sorry. Did you say you have installed the kit at a dealer? If so how much did you pay?

I ordered the kit last week but have not received it yet. As far as I can tell we need to replace the brake line, clutch line and bleed, and the throttle cables, and then move all the controls to the new bar. Seems to me that it shouldn't take a seasoned mechanic more than a couple of hours so I was miffed when I got an estimate of $610.00 for parts + labor ($210.00 for the kit and $400.00 for labor). Don't know what the labor rate is in Miami but even at $95.00 hr. that would be like about a 1/2 day for them to do the install.

Earl Smalls HD Buell in Georgia sells High Bar CR's for the same price as standard bars. At least that is what they told me today at a Bike Show when I said I was interested in buying one with high bars.
