was riding today gauges stopped working bike began to sputter died when i got home it wont start only clicks. im new at this motorcycle thing so be descriptive if possable its a 03 with about 14700 miles it ran great for the last week and know this. please help

The clicking is an indication of a battery related problem.

If you don't know the history or condition of the battery, try to take a voltage reading of it after it's been sitting for an hour or two.

A reading of 12.0 volts or less would be not good whereas if it's 12.5 or higher, then there are other things to check.
