When the key is placed in the acc. position the odo and speed lights flash. The odometer basically flickers.

Recent work:
Upgraded charging system to 3-phase
Removed clock
Installed analog voltage gauge where clock was.

I checked the main ground it appears good. The only thing I can think of is that I have open ended power that was too the clock.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Update:

Paying closer attention tonight...

When the key is switched on, the engine light does not come on. The fuel pump also does not come on.

I checked voltage at the fuel pump connector. It was 11.4.

I disconnected the speed sensor, but I think that needs to be jumpered to bypass it.

Any suggestions?

Update 2:

Followed through most of the procedures for No Check Engine Light in the SM.

- Continuity is good on the BL/Y wire from the ECM to the CEL.
- I don't appear to have power to the ECM. Used paper clips (no break out box)to check for 12V @ ECM with key on.
- ECM has continuity to ground.
- I have 11.5V at the ignition relay.
- I need to double check IR continuity to ground.

If I have continuity to ground on the IR, I think I need ot clean the relay. I am pretty sure I saw an old post by RT on how to do that.

IR has continuity to ground.

The only thing I didn't check from the procedure was a short to the battery on the BL/Y wire between 10 and 39.

All signs point to replacing the ECM.

Crap...............
