Need Help.... I have a 2002 X-1W which has been sitting for a while. Now I cannot get this bike to fire on its own system. I have changed the plugs, filter, coil and injectors. The bike will fire on starting fluid but not on its own fuel. The fuel pump is engaging. I have full race exhaust, Race ECM (which I think is fried so I placed the stock ECM back in bike) Power Commander II (Disconnected until I can get the bike running) Called the buell dealer about to order a fuel pump but they quoted me $360.00 that is rather steep investment to not know for sure if fuel pump is really the problem. I have no pressure testing tools to test pump.

If you can disconnect the injectors at the wiring connector and make a jumper from the battery and see if they squirt when power is applied. Take the plugs out and see if fuel is coming out of the spark plug holes.(You might want to do that first to see if you are getting any fuel. Just crank it with the plugs out and the throttle open.) I would check for any trouble codes and test the pump and injectors via ECM Spy. While at it do a TPS/AFV reset.

Well right now I have removed the tank and pulled the pump... the sediment filter on pump was fairly brown and clogged, I have ordered a new filter for pump, while I have it out I am going to rebuild the pump; fuel pressure regulator, new gaskets, O rings as well as the low level sensor since mine hasn't worked for a few years now. I will try all this that you suggested if that the rebuild doesn't work. As far as the ECM Spy I am waiting on my cable to come in. For trouble codes I have injectors codes 23, 32 stuck in the Race ECM which is why I think it is fried. hopefully all this will work a lot cheaper than a new pump only spent about 50.00.

Ok, I have got the bike running now but it seems to be struggling I have used the ECMSpy to reset the TPS and the AFV but i am hesitant to play with fuel tables just yet....is there any other sensors that need to be looked at... I have been searching for a wide band O2 sensor since stock sensor probably is not doing what it should with the mods that I have....(Race headers, Race ECM, Forcewinder Intake w/K&N Filter and D&D Race header slip on exhaust.

I don't think you need the wideband O2 sensor for the mods you have. It will not address your current issues. It's however useful if you are trying to use input from both cylinders (which requires a bong on the front header) to tune the AFR (not AFV) along with tuning the engine while doing datalogging. Just my 2 cents FWIW.

So the stock O2 sensor will work if I replace it?...I don't want to waste money on parts if nothing is going to change prior to tuning.

I don't have access to the bike/ECMSPY right now so I am not sure exactly what the codes 23, 32 mean. Run the diagnostics and see what it says. If the O2 sensor and/or the injectors are bad, the diagnostics will tell you so. Just make sure you run the diagnostics pretty much in the sequence shown on the screen, e.g., coil before the injectors, etc., or you may get a "pop" from the motor. The O2 sensor really does not care about the mods. It only operates in the closed loop section of the fuel map and tells the ECM to add or delete fuel depending on the level of O2 in the exhaust track.
Starting issues are by and large unrelated to the condition of the O2 sensor. Toss the PCII and stick with the ECMSPY. It could be your best friend. Keep us posted.

So using the diagnostics tab in EcmSpy to test everything is safe while the bike is running??? I am new to the program and the manual is not very clear on this part of the prog.

Turn the motor off and just turn the key to the on mode.
