When I turn on my kill switch there is a short in it, the engine light flashes and the pump kicks off and on. I'm unsure if I want to try to take it apart or not maybe there are contacts inside that corrode, Anyone had this issue?

You are going to have to take it apart to install a new one anyways. So it won't hurt to pop it open and check things out. I have had mine open to install an new grip/throttle tube. Not much in there. Most likely a loose wire.
