Hi Everyone:
weird thing going on here, hope for some insight. I have an 06 xb12ss, jardine, race ecm. Bike started acting up a couple days ago:if it had a carb, I'd say it had a bad accelerator pump : bad stumble off idle, bucking, surging, etc.
Decided to try a TPS reset for the first time, followed an old (03 I think) Buell service bulletin for the procedure, then reset the AF value to 100 ( it was at 99).
Bike ran the best since I owned it, the smoothest throttle response it has ever had. Ran great this morning, however started the same initial symptoms all over again (weird idle at lights, almost stalled pulling away, etc). Any ideas what this may be? ALSO, I have to echo a previous posters' problem with the tps reading seeming to fluctuate at idle, while watching it in ECM Spy.

I have seen the TPS fluctuate in ecm spy also, but very little like .1 to .3 I am not sure how you did the reset but I do mine according to the tunning guide. Check out your maps and see if there are any big jumps in adjoining cells in the rpm range you are having the issues. When I up loaded the race map there were some cells that had over a 25 point jump to the next one. I reworked these adjoining cells so that there was never more than a 15 point difference. This really smoothed out the throttle in the lower rpm range. Just make sure you save the eeprom b4 you do anything.
