M2 pieces were all sanded and primed for new paint-all plastic looks great except for the fuel tank. This is the second time the tank has been painted, Paint seems to be lifting off tank and bubbling. All parts were set up the same way. used NAPA crossfire automotive paint basecoat/clearcoat. At this point the tank has to be wet sanded and start completly over. Any suggestions on prep or chemicals to use so I may avoid adhesion or bubble issues.running out of patience!   Kilroy Posted on Friday, April 24, 2009 - 06:04 am:        This comes up all the time. Do a search. I have terrible memory - someone has posted the "only" approved method of painting the tank. Seems that gas vapors diffuse thru the tank plastic over time and cause bubbling and other unpleasant results. There is a tired and true method, but it has to be followed, any other procedure will fail.
