I just purchased and installed the SignalMinder from Kisan. I have a 08 Uley. They talk about wiring the turn signals for running lights. I don't know where to wire in. Also there is springs in the kit to reposition the turn signal switch. So if anyone knows how to install could you please help?

Not sure about the Uley but on the X1s there have been issues with the bulbs melting the housing when they have been turned into running lights. The springs are to be installed inside the switch. This is only if the switch is a manual cancellation switch. On the X1 you have to push the button to release the switch back to the off position. The spring is used to automatically push the switch back to the off position. Hope this helps.

Hi Chuck, I've got one of those on my '08 Uly and it works great. To use the running light option you just hook up the "running light" wires from the module to the positive left and right blinker wires. You can access them at the connectors for the front blinkers. The springs are not needed on the Buells. But you will need to disable the "latch" on the turn signal switch. Here is the fun part, If you take the back cover off the blinker switch, when you slide the plastic blocks on either end of the assembly outward, (as though you were activating the turn signal), you will see a thin strip of nylon that pops up and prevents the assembly from returning back to the center (home) position. This plastic "tab" holds the switch "on" until you push the "cancel" button. I used an Exacto razor blade to trim the little tab off the ends of the "fingers" so that the switch will now return to home position as soon as you let go of the blinker switch. On mine I also removed (not necessary) the little return spring that is in the part of the switch that you are touching when you activate the blinkers. This just reduced the finger pressure that was needed to activate the blinkers. PM me if ya want and I can walk you thru it on the phone if you have more questions. mike
