Hey, I just changed my primary shoe and found that I didn't need to do a few things like remove the clutch cable (which we all know can be a dangerous thing) since I have broken one before at the primary. I also changed all my gaskets, since I purchased new ones, even though they where in great condition.
I found my shoe to be in great condition but since I went to all the trouble I changed it.
The new one is blue, is that what others have changed to? The original one was black.
I found this job to be very easy, and newbie friendly for those doing their own work.

Thanks for the info. Is the shoe the same thing as the tensioner? And what other gaskets did you change besides the primary/transmission cover while doing the work?
Thanks

Yes, that is the same as the tensioner.
I changed all my gaskets, the two in the front and the primary itself.
I had a shift seal, but forgot to change it and had already put the primary cover on and torqued all the bolts down, lets hope it doesn't leak
After work today I am going home to see that there are no leaks then take it for a test drive as all the (clutch/tensioner)were reset to specs
